We know the idea of waxing can be a little nerve-wrecking for all of you new to waxing. We’re here to tell you that it isn’t as bad as the movies make it out to be. There are no wrong questions. But we've tried to curate some of the commonly asked questions below. Call us or send us an email if your question is not on the list and we'd be happy to answer them for you.
Q. WHAT AREAS OF MY BODY ARE WAXABLE?
We provide full body waxing services from brows to Brazilian. Your friendly, experienced esthetician is happy to answer any specific questions or address any concerns that you might have.
Q. How do I prepare?
Exfoliating the skin 2 to 3 times per week will do the trick!
Q. How long does the hair have to be?
1/4th of an inch. For most people, it takes 2 to 3 weeks after shaving to grow this amount of hair. We know some of your hair grows quicker than others, but we cannot wax anything under 1/4 of an inch and you will need to reschedule.
Q. How often should I wax?
Once every 4 weeks is the ideal timeframe for best results.
Q. What kind of wax do you use?
To ensure that you recieve the most comfortable and thorough waxing experience at every appointment, our wax technicians are trained to use both hard and soft wax. Our expertise in using both hard and soft wax gives us the opportunity to tailor every wax appointment to our clients' individual needs, skin type, hair type and area to be waxed.
Q. Okay, really how much does a Brazilian hurt?
Our trained estheticians use proven and effective techniques to make sure that your waxing experience is as painless as possible. You may experience slight discomfort depending on your hair thickness, sensitivity and the area of your body that you're getting waxed. The good news is, that once you start waxing on a regular basis, your hair thin out, making them much easier to remove. After just a few sessions, you’ll be surprised at how much gentler and faster the process becomes.
Q. I am on medication; can I still get waxed?
If you've taken Accutane within the last 6 months, unfortunately, no. If you're using Retin-A or Differin, stop using it 7 days before the service.
We'd love to hear from you! Service and satisfaction is our #1 goal and we'll go above and beyond to ensure that you have a great splurge at our bar!
